Gentle Mommy Chat is a gathering place for moms or those hoping to be moms who consider themselves followers of Jesus and who believe in and use (to the best of their ability) attachment parenting (AP) and gentle, non-punitive discipline.
This is a place for those who have already decided that attachment parenting and gentle discipline are best for kids and for their own families. Gentle Mommy Chat is a place of fellowship and friendship for like-minded moms.
I confess that one of the reasons I started this message board is that my favorite message board
Gentle Christian Mothers is closed for part of two days during the week. *guilty grin* This board is not meant to be a main resource for AP or GD, just a place to hang out if and when you like.
I hope you will all feel free to be yourselves and will be kind and respectful to everyone.
Please do not post in support of cry-it-out, spanking or hitting of any kind, or any other punishments.
Please don't question anyone's devotion to God. We will agree that Jesus is the only Son of God, who willingly died and rose again (bodily) from the dead and ascended to Heaven, for the forgiveness of our sins. And we can agree to disagree, if necessary, on the details.
